Are you a licensed vendor?

Yes. We have all required licensing and permits to operate in the city of Grant as well as the state of Minnesota. We meet all safety and health code requirements.

Where are you located?

Dellwood Barn is conveniently located in Grant, 5 minutes from Downtown White Bear Lake and 10 minutes from historic Stillwater. We are located close to major highways, great restaurants, shops, and hotels.

How do I reserve my date?

Please call or email us to see if your date is available. To reserve a date, we require a deposit of 25%.

How many guests can be accommodated?

We have a maximum capacity of 253 guests.

When can I schedule a tour?

We do tours by appointment. Contact us to schedule.

How big is the red barn?

The barn is 4,700 sq ft with original wood floors, exposed wood trusses, and hand-milled pine walls.

Do you have an outdoor space?

Yes, we have multiple outdoor areas for your guests, including a custom brick fire pit, front lawn for games, grain bin bar, and 25 acres of hay field. Stop by and see our horses!

Do you have on-site parking?

Yes. We have a large, lit parking lot with handicap accessibility. Please note that no overnight parking, RVs, or boats are allowed.

Are there hotels nearby?

Minutes away. Choose from White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, or Stillwater. You can also take a trolley ride to picturesque Stillwater with your wedding party for photos.

I have elderly or handicapped guests. How can they get around?

Ride in comfort. We have a golf cart to chauffeur guests who are elderly or disabled.

Is there someone on-site during the day?

Yes, an event manager is on-site. A day-of coordinator is required to act as the liaison to Dellwood Barn staff, caterers, vendors, and guests. This person is invaluable when the unexpected happens.

Are the string lights always up in the barn?

Yes! We also include a lighted backdrop for the head table.

What hours is the property available on the event day?

9 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Can we leave items overnight?

No. All items must be removed at the end of the event.

Do you have indoor restrooms?

Yes! Indoor restrooms for both men and women with handicap accessibility.

Is there climate control?

Yes! We have both heat and air conditioning.

Do you require insurance?

Yes, we require couples to purchase a $1M policy prior to your wedding day.

How long can we have music playing?

Music is permitted on the hill during the ceremony and inside the barn when the doors are closed. Music ends at 10:25 p.m.

Can guests smoke on the property?

The farm is smoke-free. There is a designated smoking area at the fire pit.

Is there security on the property?

All events require an off-duty Washington County police officer per the city of Grant.

Can I do an engagement shoot?

Yes. Engagement photos are included in your venue fee.

Does the barn host weekday events?

Yes. We are available Monday through Thursday.

Are animals allowed at the barn for weddings?

We welcome dogs for engagement photos and ceremonies.

Can I have my rehearsal at Dellwood Barn?

Yes, Thursdays are available for wedding rehearsals.

What do we need to do at the end of the night?

Inquire for more information.

Can we use any caterer we choose?

Yes! We want our couples to be able to curate their perfect wedding day! This means the freedom to use any caterer of your choice. Caterers must be full-service, licensed, and insured.

Can we use any vendors we choose?

Yes! You are free to use any vendor of your choice (excluding bar service). We simply require that all vendors hold any required permits, licenses, certifications, and satisfactory insurance.

Do you allow pets?

With our pre-approval, furry family members of the couple are more than welcome for your ceremony and on-site photos! We simply require you have a dedicated pet-sitter, and that the pet is taken off-site after the ceremony.

Can I host a non-wedding?

Absolutely! We would love to host your next corporate event, family celebration, gala or fundraiser, and more!

Will your staff be on site?

Yes, we will have venue staff available from the time you arrive through the duration of your event. Our staff will be responsible for venue-specific tasks such as: setup and teardown of tables and chairs, answering vendor/guest questions, ensuring cleanliness of the venue, restocking bathrooms, thermostat changes, emergencies, etc. They are not responsible for or involved in personal décor setup and teardown, executing your timeline, or coordinating your wedding party.

Do I need a wedding coordinator?

While the venue manager is overseeing the venue, your wedding
coordinator can focus on the more personal details of your wedding
day. You will be able to live in the moment rather than having to worry
about last-minute details and directing vendors. It is very important to
protect your emotional well-being and financial investment.
